Sequence IV - Non Regents

The Sequential IV Non-Regents mathematics course is designed for seniors who have completed New York State Sequential I, II and III. The focus of the course is to both teach real life math skills and to help prepare the students for college algebra.

Some major topics of the course are listed below. More Information can be found at the Course Outline link above.

bulletMatrices and applications to business.
bulletNumber systems (Binary, Hex, etc) and applications to Computers and Code Theory.
bulletCollege Algebra. Functions, Equations, Graphs, and other topics.
bulletSpreadsheets. Working with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Works using spreadsheets to solve various problems.

Some of the following projects may be done over the course. More Information can be found at the Projects and Homework link above.

bulletJob and salary analysis.
bulletConduct a survey and do the data analysis.
bulletTerm paper on a career and it's applications of mathematics and computers.
bulletSpread sheet projects on Stocks, Investments, Mortgages, Loans vs. Lease a new car, etc.
