Hello all. Welcome my friends. Yes it is me - Mr .V. the Math teacher....Yes I am still alive.... barely.......Well here have been my travels through the years...I graduated with my B.S. from St. John's University in Mathematics and Computer Science in June 1991. In August 1993 I received my M.A. from SJU in Mathematics.  From 1992-1996 I was the mathematics Chairman (93-96), mathematics teacher, Softball Coach (92-96), Basketball Coach (93-96) and Volleyball Coach (95) at Dominican Commercial High School , an All-Girls Private School in Jamaica Queens. Unfortunately the school closed down in 1998. I left in 1996 - for personal reasons. I loved my students dearly. I hope that I helped to make a difference in their lives.  I left DCHS to go and teach 7th grade in Farmingdale at Howitt Middle School. for two years I loved working with the 7th graders and teaching them the best way to do mathematics and teaching them to think mathematically. The students there are some of the best I ever had. I did not coach there, but I worked on several Mathematics Projects. For the years 1998-2002 I was teaching at Glen Cove High School. I got back into coaching (Indoor Track and Field.) I was teaching AP Stats, AP Calculus, and Pre-Calculus and I was the Indoor Track and Outdoor Track Head Coach. Now I am in North Carolina, teaching math, Coaching Track and Cross Country. A new adventure awaits me...
