Mr. Vignolini - A Personal History I was born in New Jersey a few months before  man first went to the moon and discovered that it was not made up of blue cheese. Then I traveled around the USA while my father was in the Air Force (New Jersey, Florida, South Dakota, Mississippi and Alaska). In all I have driven through, lived in or visited about 45 of the states and visited 4 different countries.  I have four sisters and one brother (ages 41, 35, 28, 26, and my brother is 25). I was an "Air Force Brat" attending 7 different schools from grades K-12 (7 years in Alaska, then in NJ from the 7th grade on.) I loved math from the 6th grade on, because my teacher just gave me the textbook and sat me in the back and told me to work at my own fast pace. I have been classified with dyslexia and ADhD. While the study of math for me is very structured and very fundamental it offers many creative aspects that I love so much. So despite my disabilities I look at mathematics as the greatest challenge that I could try to meet. I have a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Masters of Arts in Mathematics from St. John's University in Queens, New York. [Let's Go Redmen!!]  I taught four years at Dominican Commercial High School an all-girls school in Jamaica, Queens where I was the Mathematics Chairman, Varsity Girls Basketball Coach, Varsity Girls Softball Coach and Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach. I spent 2 years in Howitt Middle School in Farmingdale teaching 7th grade mathematics. I have done 7 years of summer school at Holy Cross High School (an all-boys school) and St. John's Prep, both in Queens. I have taught 5 years at Glen Cove High School where I was the Varsity Winter Track and Field Head Coach  and the Varsity Boy's Outdoor Track and Field Head Coach. I have taught almost every course at the high school level over my 15 years in teaching.
This is my seventh year at Charlotte Country Day School. I will be teaching AB Calculus, an Honors Algebra II, and two sections of IB Math Studies. I am the Boy's Cross Country Head Coach, the Indoor Track Assistant Co
ach and the Head Assistant Coach for Outdoor Track and Field. I am an assistant moderator for the Math Club. I have also been the head 8th Grade Girls Basketball Coach in 2002-03.
